Rogowski Coils (Flexible Rope CTs) with CTid
Details
Rope CTs, technically called Rogowski coils, are large, flexible sensors used to monitor current. They install similarly to standard split-core CTs, with a connector that allows the rope to be opened and placed around a conductor without disconnecting or threading the conductor through it. Rope CTs are ideal for busbars and large switchgear applications where standard split-core CTs may not fit.
Minimum current requirements depend on the Rope CT model. The 2775A Rope CT requires approximately 27A or more for accurate measurement, while the 6935A Rope CT requires approximately 69A or more. Accuracy may be reduced when measuring currents below these levels.
